THE SHORT STORY: After years cooking on the line at restaurants across the US, I started writing about food and wine. My first book, A16 Food and Wine, received the IACP Cookbook of the Year award and the Julia Child First Book award. Since then, I have co-authored or edited more than nine books on food and wine, traveling from Myanmar to Armenia for some of them. My writing has appeared in publications ranging from Smithsonianmag.com, to CNN's Explore Parts Unknownand Eating Well.
